Managing app settings
Configure your app's name, domain, authentication, notifications, integrations, and advanced options from App Settings.
App Settings overview
App Settings is the control panel for each individual project. Access it from the editor via Settings (gear icon) in the top navigation, or from your project dashboard.
General settings
| Setting | Description |

| App name | The internal name shown in your workspace |
| App icon | Upload a square image (recommended: 512×512 PNG) |
| Description | A short description visible in your workspace |
| Project type | Website or Mobile App |
Domain settings
By default, your app is published to a bldrAgent subdomain:
yourappname.bldr.app
To connect a custom domain:
- Open App Settings → Domain
- Enter your domain (e.g.
app.yourbusiness.com) - Follow the DNS instructions — add the CNAME record to your DNS provider
- Wait for propagation (usually 5–30 minutes)
- Click Verify — bldrAgent will automatically provision a free SSL certificate

Authentication settings
Configure how users sign in to your app:
- Email + password — standard signup/login
- Magic link — passwordless email login
- Google OAuth — "Sign in with Google"
- Custom OAuth — connect any OAuth 2.0 provider
Session settings:
- Session duration (default: 7 days)
- Remember me option
- Force re-authentication on sensitive actions
Email and notifications
Set up transactional emails your app sends:
- From address — customise the sender email
- Email provider — use bldrAgent's built-in email or connect SendGrid / Resend
- Email templates — customise welcome, password reset, and notification emails
Integrations
Connect third-party services directly from App Settings → Integrations:

Advanced settings
- Custom CSS — global CSS injected into every page
- Custom scripts — inject analytics, chat widgets, or tracking scripts
- Environment variables — store API keys and secrets securely
- Version history — view and restore previous versions
- Transfer ownership — move the app to another workspace member
- Delete app — permanently remove the app (irreversible)
