Credits
Credits are the unit for AI-powered actions on bldrAgent. Learn what uses credits, how to check your balance, and how to buy more.
What are credits?
Credits are the currency for AI-powered actions on bldrAgent. When you ask the AI to build something, generate content, or use an advanced model, it consumes credits.
What uses credits?
| Action | Credit cost |
|---|---|
| Simple AI message (basic model) | 1 credit |
| Complex build request (standard model) | 3–10 credits |
| Advanced model (e.g. larger context window) | 5–20 credits |
| AI image generation | 10 credits |
| AI-assisted data import / transformation | 2–5 credits |
Note: Browsing, editing without AI, and publishing do not consume credits.
Checking your balance
Your current credit balance is shown in the top-right corner of the editor and in Settings → Billing → Credits.
You can see a full breakdown of recent credit usage in Settings → Billing → Usage history.
Monthly credit refresh
Credits refresh on your billing date each month. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month on standard plans.
Your monthly credit allocation depends on your plan:
- Free — 50 credits/month
- Pro — 500 credits/month
- Business — 2,000 credits/month
- Enterprise — custom allocation
Buying extra credits
If you run out before your refresh date:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Buy credits
- Choose a credit pack (e.g. 200, 500, or 1,000 credits)
- Credits are added instantly
Top-up credits are available on all plans and do not expire.
Credit-efficient tips
- Use the basic model for simple, repetitive tasks (styling changes, text updates)
- Use the advanced model for complex features with logic, relationships, and integrations
- Describe features fully in one prompt rather than many back-and-forth messages — it's more credit-efficient
- Preview before submitting — use the visual editor for minor layout tweaks that don't need AI
Enterprise credit pools
Enterprise workspaces can configure a shared credit pool across all workspace members, with optional per-member credit limits. Configure this in Workspace Settings → Credits.
