Managing app data
View, edit, import, and export your app's data. Understand the built-in database, data types, and how to keep your records organised.
Your app's built-in database
Every bldrAgent app includes a fully managed PostgreSQL database. You don't need to configure servers, connection strings, or backups — it's all handled for you.
The database powers everything your app stores: user accounts, product catalogues, bookings, orders, content, and anything else your app needs.
Accessing your data
Open the Data panel from the editor sidebar (database icon) to:
- Browse every table in your app's database
- View, filter, and search records
- Edit individual records inline
- Create and delete records manually
- Import data from CSV
How the AI creates your data model
When you describe a feature, bldrAgent automatically creates the right database structure:
"Add a booking system where clients can book a 1-hour slot with one of our 3 therapists"
The AI creates:
bookingstable (id, client_id, therapist_id, slot_date, slot_time, status, notes)therapiststable (id, name, bio, photo, availability)- Relationship between tables
You can review and modify the schema in Data → Schema.
Field types
| Type | Used for |
|---|---|
| Text | Names, descriptions, labels |
| Long text | Articles, notes, rich content |
| Number | Prices, quantities, counts |
| Boolean | True/false flags |
| Date / DateTime | Timestamps, schedules |
| Email addresses | |
| URL | Website links |
| Select | Fixed options (status, category) |
| Multi-select | Tags, labels |
| Relation | Link to another table's records |
| File | Image or document uploads |
Importing data
To import existing data into your app:
- Open Data → [Table name] → Import
- Upload a CSV file
- Map your CSV columns to your table fields
- Click Import — records are created instantly
Tip: To import a large dataset, break it into batches of 5,000 rows for faster processing.
Exporting data
Export any table to CSV at any time:
- Open Data → [Table name]
- Apply any filters you want (or leave blank to export everything)
- Click Export CSV
Relationships between tables
The AI creates and manages relationships automatically. You can also ask explicitly:
"Link each order to the customer who placed it, and to the product that was ordered"
Supported relationship types:
- One-to-many — one customer has many orders
- Many-to-many — many products belong to many categories
- One-to-one — one user has one profile
Data privacy and security
- All databases are encrypted at rest
- Access is controlled by your app's authentication and role system
- No bldrAgent staff can read your app's data without your explicit consent
- Data is stored in the region you selected when creating your workspace
See Privacy and security for the full security overview.
